Silver medal at Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2015
We are proud to announce that our Fattoria di Travalda - Toscana IGT 2010 has been awarded a Silver Medal at the prestigious 22nd edition of Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2015. In 2015 the competition "Concurs Mondial de Bruxelles" resumed its tour of Europe’s leading wine regions, travelling to the Italian seaside resort of Jesolo on May 1, 2 and 3. Over 8,000 wines from 45 producer countries competed before a selection of the world’s foremost tasters. Sommeliers, buyers, importers, journalists and wine writers – in all, 299 wine tasters representing 49 nationalities gathered for 3 days to judge entries. The diverse range, both of entries and backgrounds of the tasters themselves, is one of the archetypal features of a competition that in just a few years has emerged as a world wine ‘tasting championship’.

Our Fattoria di Travalda - Toscana IGT 2010 achieved the score of 87 points – Very Good during January 2015 tasting session of Kerin O’Keefe, the Italian Editor for Wine Enthusiast. Subdued aromas of black currant, chocolate and a whiff cedar lead the nose of this blend of 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc, 30% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot. On the palate, notes of grilled bell pepper, soy sauce and game accent a core of dried black cherry. It’s simple and a bit rustic, with dusty, drying tannins. (8/1/2015) — Kerin O’Keefe.
