Appellation: Toscana IGT Region: Tuscany Alcohol: 13.5% Grapes: 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc, 30% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot
Vinification and refinement The grapes are hand-picked and selected in crates. They are successively vinified blending all the different varietals in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Follows the maceration with the skins for 20 days and delestage every three days.
The malolactic fermentation takes place in barrique by 225 Lt first passage where the wine is poured twice. After a permanence of minimum 18 months in barrique, the wine is bottled with no filtration.
The our wine "Fattoria di Travalda" is not clarified and requires a certain period of refining in bottle.
Wine description Colour: Intense ruby colour. Bouquet: Extraordinary floral components with intense notes of geranium and jasmine, red berries, toasted coffee, cinnamon and spices. Taste: Rich and full bodied with silky tannins.
Food pairings Ideal with all Mediterranean dishes, roast, game meat and spicy cheese. Serve at room temperature.
